Commodore 1541 Disk Drive Setup
The 1541 floppy disk drive is the most popular storage device for your Commodore 64. It offers 170 kilobytes of fast, reliable storage.
Connection Steps
- Turn OFF both the computer and disk drive
- Connect the serial cable to the back of the C64 (round DIN connector)
- Connect the other end to the back of the 1541
- Connect the 1541 power supply
- Turn ON the disk drive first, then the computer
